Brad Paisley is an American singer, and legend of country music. He’s a three-time winner of the Grammy Award, as well as multiple nominee for the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association, and American Music Awards.
Paisley showed his support for Ukraine once the full-scale invasion began: on the 3rd of July 2022, he and multiple other American music stars took part in a charity telemarathon — Ukraine: Answering the Call — which was aired during prime-time on three American channels.
In January 2023, Paisley joined the team of UNITED24 ambassadors. The singer is primarily concerned with the Rebuild Ukraine program. His first project in this role was collecting funds to rebuild an apartment complex in Kyiv Oblast that was damaged during the war.
For the anniversary of the war in Ukraine, Paisley wrote a new song titled Same Here. In it, one can hear part of the performer’s conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who comments: “We might speak different languages in life, but I think we value the same things — children, freedom, our flag, our soldiers, our people. In such values, there is no distance between our two countries.”
Just a few days after its release, Same Here reached the top spot in the iTunes Store. Part of the track’s loyalties will be donated towards helping Ukraine via UNITED24.
