American historian, writer and professor at Yale University, Timothy Snyder, has devoted his life to studying the history of Central and Eastern Europe. He often focuses on the subjects of totalitarianism, nationalism, and the Holocaust.
Snyder knows better than anyone what colossal damages the nazi and soviet regimes have inflicted upon all of Europe, and especially upon Ukraine. He is not afraid of making comparisons to contemporary events; the historian remains one of the main voices of support for Ukraine on the global stage. It was Snyder who was the first in American publishing to brand the russian regime as fascist.
In his works, Timothy Snyder explains, among other things, the historical reasons for russian aggression. He has no doubts that Ukraine will win.

In September 2022, Snyder visited Ukraine in person. He traveled to Chernihiv Oblast, speaking to locals whose homes were destroyed by russian attacks.
In November 2022, Snyder joined the UNITED24 ambassador team. Like actor Mark Hamill, who is another ambassador, he concentrated his efforts on the Defence and Demining direction of support.
Snyder has already managed to raise $1,300,000 for the ‘Shahed Hunter’ anti-drone systems that will defend Ukrainian energy infrastructure from russian terrorism.
